You Deserve More Than a Machine Shop

Don’t let design challenges, communication breakdowns, or inefficient machining slow your project down. We partner with you to solve problems, refine your design, and deliver precision parts that simply work — without the stress, guesswork, or wasted time.

Avoid these common problems

Designs That Are Hard to Produce:

Complicated features, tight tolerances, or unclear drawings that other shops struggle to build.

Parts That Don’t Perform as Expected:

Inconsistencies, poor fit, or functional issues that create delays and costly rework.

Lack of Design Guidance:

Most shops just “take the drawing and build it.” You’re left without the insight you need to improve performance or reduce cost.

Ideas That Stall Out:

You have an exciting concept — but without expert support, turning it into a real part feels overwhelming.

Machining & Design Solutions

Design-for-Manufacturing Improvements

We analyze your part and identify opportunities to simplify, reduce cost, increase strength, or improve performance before machining begins.

About Modin Industries

Unreasonable Value, Delivered Through Partnership and Precision

Daniel Modin brings more than 15 years of hands-on machining and manufacturing experience, beginning with building his first CNC machine from scratch in high school and continuing through formal mechanical engineering studies at Trident Technical College.

His early work in carbon fiber composites led him into precision machining, where he developed a reputation for solving complex design challenges and producing highly accurate, reliable components. Since 2010, Daniel has refined his craft across diverse applications, and for the past five years has led Modin Industries full time.
Today, he combines deep technical expertise with a collaborative engineering mindset—helping companies transform ideas, drawings, and prototypes into exceptionally precise, dependable parts.

Supporting Daniel, his wife Hailey Modin manages project schedules and communicates updates, material purchasing, and all the paperwork behind the scenes. You’ll likely chat with both of them throughout your project!

What “Unreasonable Value” Means to Us:

  • Proactive design improvements that save time and cost
  • Clear, responsive communication during every project
  • Precision machining with consistent, reliable results
  • A true partnership with your business — not a transactional vendor relationship

Frequently Asked Questions

No. You can come to us with just an idea but we also can work from a fully detailed drawing. Daniel can help refine your design, build a CAD model, and make sure it’s ready for machining.

Absolutely. This is one of our biggest strengths.

We look for ways to simplify the design, reduce cost, improve performance, and remove potential machining issues before they happen.

That’s where we shine.

We specialize in solving unique machining and design challenges that other shops often avoid or overlook.

A wide range — including aluminum, steel, stainless, plastics, and specialty materials. If you’re unsure what’s best for your part, we’ll make recommendations.

Yes. If your idea is still evolving, we can create prototypes, test functionality, and dial in the design before full production.

Clear, proactive communication is one of our top priorities. You’ll always know the status of your project, what’s happening next, and why.

Yes—we frequently support customers who need single prototypes, short runs, or custom parts.

However, low-volume work typically comes at a higher per-unit cost. The biggest efficiencies (and savings) happen when we can run larger batches or build a repeat-order relationship.

Yes. Once your design is locked in, we can support ongoing runs with consistent, high-quality machining.
